The GAMEON project is officially off to a great start! Our team—including partners from FBK, ATWF, Meeva, Autism Europe, Autismo Burgos, and LAA—met up in Belgrade, Serbia, in November 2025 to map out our technical journey.
One of the most important points on the agenda was deciding how to choose the right digital games. We agreed to focus on titles that are compatible with modding frameworks and, most importantly, offer genuine therapeutic or pedagogical relevance for neurodivergent players. This ensures the games are both technically flexible and truly useful for the community.
We also dived into planning our upcoming pilot studies in Spain, Latvia, Serbia, and Italy. We’re aiming to reach 100 autistic young people (aged 11–20) and 50 caregivers using a "train-the-trainer" model. We are already working on early participant mapping to make sure our recruitment is as transparent and effective as possible.
